In-Person Group Classes in Reading, Massachusetts: September 2024 – June 2025
During the academic year I teach TWO weekly in-person classes in Reading. Both are held at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 239 Woburn Street, Reading, MA 01867.
Slow-Flow Yoga Tuesdays at 7:00pm
This is a slow-flow, vinyasa-style class. Movement will be mindful and tied to breath with the intent to stretch and strengthen the body and calm the nervous system. Classes are an eclectic mix of yoga, self-massage, functional movement exercises, restorative yoga, and guided meditation. Beginners are welcome, but you will need the ability to lie on the floor and be on hands and knees.
Gentle Accessible Yoga Wednesdays at 10am
These classes explore gentle hatha yoga, functional movement, guided meditation, and self-massage. Many variations of poses will be offered. Movements will primarily take place standing, seated in a chair, or lying on the floor. Time on hands and knees is limited and optional. All are welcome. This is an accessible class that is appropriate for beginners, seniors, and those dealing with chronic pain or illness, as well as more experienced students who appreciate a gentle, slow approach.
